2011 Ducati 848 Feature |UK Manufacturers of Ducati motorcycles division, today announced the launch of the Ducati 848 Challenge 2011, to follow the season premiere motor racing competition 2011. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer is also a racing official partners of the MCE Insurance in the British Superbike Championship (BSB). Racing was a series of a series that uses some of the most famous circuits in the UK and Europe. This series will consist of sixteen race by running more than five rounds of the BSB television, two rounds of the annual meeting of foreign and Castle Combe Motorcycle.

The Challenge opener this weekend will see a number of riders looking to score early points over their rivals, not least last season’s Champion Darren Fry and runner-up Leon Morris.

They will be challenged by ex-BSB Cup rider Kenny Gilbertson, past National Superstock riders Mark Andrew, Aaron Brown, Robbie Brown, and Ricky Holden, Manx GP riders Andy Kirkwood and Barry Poll and former British Supersport Champion Mike Edwards

The 2011 848 Challenge will be fully supported and operated by Ducati UK and will be offering a generous race package that will include the series registration within the price of a new 848 Evo (2010 SRP £9,995 for Dark Stealth*)

Ducati UK Managing Director Tim Maccabee is delighted to see the 848 Challenge become a support series to British Superbike Championship and commented, ”This is a fantastic opportunity for competitors to showcase their talents at some of the best tracks in the UK and Europe supporting probably the best domestic championship in the world.
