2011 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer Review

2011 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer review is a class act. It’s a special, but full-production, version of the Italian firm’s V7 Classis and comes with an unbelievable raft of goodies, including a chrome-effect fuel tank, a hand-finished frame and uprated cycle parts. This modern-day retro isn’t on a par with a Triumph Thruxton or Ducati Sport Classic performance-wise, but it’s easy to ride, looks fantastic and makes you feel even better.

Based on the frame work provided by the standard Moto Guzzi V7 Classic and Cafe, the V7 Racer is a throwback to the time when the Rockers vs Mods scene was in full affect and “Cafe Racer” described a rider just as much as a motorcycle. If you didn’t know any different you would think that this 2011 model is a masterfully restored repli-racer that at one time blasted between Ace Cafe in London and points asunder. Just looking at this latest iteration of the V7 makes me wish I was there to see the scene in its heyday.

The V7 Racer features an eye-catching chromed tank created using what Moto Guzzi calls an innovative metal particle deposition technology and finished with a leather strap that runs along the center of the tank. The red frame was inspired by the earliest V7 Sport models, and is paired with the matching red hubs and swingarm.

Engine
• Two-valve 744 cc 90° V-twin.
• Weber Marelli electronic fuel injection.
• Single plate clutch.
• Raised silencers
• 5-gear gearbox.
• Euro 3.
• Exhaust system with dual chromed silencers (high performance, track only aluminium Arrow system available as optional accessory)

2011 Yamaha YZ85 Design

2011 Yamaha YZ85 Design is a very competent machine right out of the box and can easily win races with the right rider. We decided to keep the mods to a minimum and focus mainly on improving durability to ensure the bike would hold up to the demands of racing. Our test rider also had some personal preferences for the controls, so we made a couple of upgrades there as well. Finally, we found the stock gearing a little tall, so we swapped sprockets to better suit the tracks in our area.

The lightweight suspension of the YZ85/LW is built to the same advanced specification as that of the company’s larger MXGP-winning racers, delivering the kind of unbelievable handling and precision steering reserved for only the best of its kind on the market. The front suspension is handled by a 36mm Kayaba inverted cartridge fork with a fully adjustable compression and rebound dampening.

Meanwhile, the rear comes with a Kayaba shock providing 11.1" of travel with a fully adjustable compression. Another key element of the YZ85 is its braking capabilities. For the new model, Yamaha put in one of the best set-ups in the class: a 220 mm front disc that generates strong, controllable and progressive braking combined with a 190 mm rear disc that provides reliable stopping power at the rear end.

Engine
" Lightweight, compact, 84.7cc, liquid-cooled, crankcase reed-valve inducted,
2-stroke single.
" Crankcase reed valve induction and 28mm Keihin flat-slide carburetor ensures seamless throttle response across the powerband. The aluminium carb body helps reduce weight.
" Lightweight, forged piston means less reciprocal mass and less friction for a faster revving engine with great durability.
" Digital CD ignition system provides a hot, precise spark and monitors engine speed to ensure optimal timing for quicker, stronger response during hard acceleration. This is a maintenance-free system.
" Smooth-shifting, 6-speed transmission with involute splines on main and drive shafts are mated to a heavy-duty, multi-plate clutch delivering maximum hook-up for outstanding acceleration and corner-exiting power.

2012 Yamaha Super Tenere Feature

2012 Yamaha Super Tenere Feature A new model in Europe this year, the 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere adventure motorcycle will be imported into the United States beginning in 2011. The U.S. adventure-touring segment expands next year with Yamahas decision to import the on/off-roading Tenere for the American market. And not too soon, as adventure-touring fans in the U.S. have clamored for over a year for this machine.

The first thing that struck me about the Super Tenere was the comfortable riding position. It is bolt upright with no weight on the wrists. There is a seemingly huge amount of leg room even though I never had the seat in the highest of the two optional positions. Together with a comfortable seat, riding the Super Ténéré is genuinely refreshing in the sense that virtually none of the ergonomic compromises found on most modern motorcycles is present.

The engine wears an eight-valve cylinder head with dual overhead camshafts operating the valvetrain. Similar to its sportbike line, the Tenere employs Yamaha’s Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) ride-by-wire system as well as the D-Mode, a toggle on the handlebar which allows riders to switch between two engine maps based on road conditions or riding preference. More technology comes in the form of a three-way adjustable traction control system. Engine power is transferred through a manual cable-actuated clutch; 6-speed transmission and shaft final drive, which was chosen for its all-around durability and relatively-low maintenance.

The Super Tenere features an all-new steel frame that is designed to reduce rider fatigue during long rides. The steel main frame allows the bike to enjoy balanced strength and flexibility, while the suspension set-up on the bike gives the Super Tenere the comfortable riding characteristics a bike of its name deserves. The suspension consists of 43mm forks on the front with 7.48" of travel and adjustable preload, compression, and rebound dampening, plus an adjustable pre-load suspension on the rear that allows the rider to adjust for varying loads or a passenger with the simple turn of a knob.

2012 Triumph Steve McQueen Review This special-edition version of the Bonneville, dubbed the 'Steve McQueen Edition' has just been unveiled by Triumph and will go on sale in 2012 but only while stocks last. Triumph has joined forces with the estate of Hollywood icon Steve McQueen to create a limited edition motorcycle that pays tribute to the late actor’s love of the British brand’s products.

Based on the classic Bonneville T100, just 1,100 of the Steve McQueenTM Edition will be sold worldwide. Featuring a host of modified parts, the design is inspired by the Triumph Trophy TR6 that McQueen insisted on riding during the famous stunt scene in The Great Escape, and features a military-style matte khaki green livery, stencil-style Triumph decal on the tank and the actor’s signature on the side covers.

The Speed Triple R’s choice of metallic Phantom Black and Crystal White color options are complemented with red colored subframe and detailing, as well as gold forks, to create a sportier and more exotic look that confirms its status as Triumph’s premier naked sports model.

Much of the McQueen Bonnie T100's design was inspired by that Trophy TR6 in The Great Escape, the machine featuring" a military-style Matt Khaki Green livery, stencil-style Triumph decal on the tank and the actor's signature on the side covers.

The Speed Triple R will have Ohlins shocks, Brembo brakes, lightweight wheels, and a new paint job. New Suzuki GW250 Launch China

New Suzuki GW250 Launch China This is the GW250 bike competing in the 250cc segment. This move comes after the steady growth in the Indian two wheeler segment, which the company is quite bullish about. The bike is expected to be priced between INR 1.5 to 2 lakhs.

Suzuki needs to launch a product which sends the shrill down the corridor of the competition as none of bikes like the Slingshot and the GS150R have done something the competition should worry about. There’s no excitement in Suzuki products.
The new GW250 is claimed to adopt a modern, luxurious and strong design. Supported by the new twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, with smooth vibrations. Aggressive performance with qualified durability. In addition, the engine is also claimed to be environmentally friendly.

The design, including the chassis, headlight, seat, tail unit and even frame will mimic its bigger B-King brother in almost every way. The unit comes in at about 369 lbs. and should be priced very reasonably, though the exact number is unknown at this time.

The bike joins the herd of motorcycles models that are recommended for beginner riders, offering them the possibility of buying a bike that looks good, is fun to ride, and has a low price. Moreover, the best thing with the small-sized motorcycles is that they really hold their resale value. The main competitor of the GW250 is the CBR250R from Honda. Though the GW has a twin-cylinder unit, the power figures are very similar to the single-cylinder CBR with both the bikes producing a similar amount of power. However, for this to be a fair battle between the two Japanese motorcycle makers, Honda would have to come up with a completely new 250cc baby Hornet.

2012 Harley 883 Super Low Spesification

2012 Harley 883 Super Low Spesification The Sportster SuperLow chassis was reengineered in 2011 to provide superior ergonomics and comfort, with quick responsive handling, in a package that puts your Butt just 25.5 inches above the surface of the Planet. Stop into our showroom and experience this amazing machine firsthand.

Convenience is also always present in every product Harley Davidson. XL883L SuperLow Sportster 883 also provides extra comfort for every rider. Thanks to the support of a great suspense. Front suspension using a 39 mm Showa ®. Rear suspension uses coil-over; preload dual-adjustable. SuperLow Sportster 883 also provides good braking system as well. If you are a loyal fan of Harley Davidson, then you can try out 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 XL883L SuperLow, and find a great sensation.

As for suspension, Harley offers the Super Low with generous rear-suspension travel and easy-to-reach bars, creating a favorable ride for various-sized riders. On a lengthy stretch of highway connecting the Oregon towns of Newberg and Pacific City, the SuperLow performed rather well for touring duty, offering a more comfortable ride quality than we’ve seen in any past Sportster model.

Though vibrations make their way through the footpegs at highway speeds, saddle comfort and confident straight-line dynamics prove a boon for long distance rides. But when the road gets twisty, the SuperLow takes on a distinct disadvantage; with “soft” lean angles of just under 25 degrees (which becomes steeper if you take into consideration when “hard” parts like exhaust pipes make contact), the tradeoff for the SuperLow’s accommodating seat height is a tendency to scrape pegs, which gets wearisome on winding roads.

New Design 2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400

New Design 2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400 Kawasaki is promising the new 2012 ZZR1400 (Ninja ZX-14R in the US) is the world's fastest accelerating production motorcycle. On the technical side will change very little and will be confirmed the cubic capacity of 1400cc, as well as more than a good chassis, a turbocharged version but it will come in addition to the base.

The top end has been breathed on, with an increased compression ratio of 12.3:1 (from 12.0:1). Intake and exhaust ports have revised shapes, with the exhust ports also bigger. Intake valve stems are longe while the cam profile has changed for extended lift. Longer conrods match the stroke and the crankshft has been made stronger. Other smaller changes have been made to improve internal efficiencies. Fuel economy is said to have improved by eight percent.

The chassis for the new bike has been overhauled too for better stability and balance. The new engine is said to deliver more torque across the rev range and substantially more power in the mid-hige rev range. The new bike will come loaded with electronic wizardry to prevent all that crazy amount of power from charring the rear wheel. Traction control and various power modes come as standard on the bike.

The aluminum monocoque frame has the same geometry, but it’s all the elasticity new structure, now more rigid, and sports, which coupled with the new longer swingarm and durable. The mechanism has been completely revised, with a 4mm longer stroke that increases capacity up to 1441cc. 2012 Yamaha WR250 R Feature

2012 Yamaha WR250 R Feature The new 2012 Yamaha WR250R has a slim, steel fuel tank is shaped with knee grip in mind, and the entire ergonomic layout is designed to make the rider feel like part of the bike. Minimalist front and rear fenders are designed for function, simplicity and lightness.

Our 298-lb California model weighs just one pound more than the 49-state version, and with its lights, turn signals and license plate, made riding to the trails and then hitting it a fairly do-able proposition. We’d estimate this is about a 60:40 bike in terms of its street/offroad prowess, and changing the tires to full-on knobbies would make it about a 50:50.

The 2008 WR250R and WR250X aren't anything like the existing slew of 250cc 4-stroke machines from Yamaha. The familiar WR model, the 250F enduro, has a totally different engine, chassis, suspension, computer, seat, you name it. The same goes for the YZ250F motocrosser which is even further away in the Yammie quarter-liter lineup. Since it didn't rework its YZ-F or WR-F mills that means the Tuning Fork engineers were tasked with creating a completely new engine and chassis without the luxury of sourcing parts.

Kawasaki ZX-14R Spesification

Kawasaki ZX-14R Spesification In 2008 Kawasaki implemented a number of tweaks and updates to the 14 aimed at improving low-end power, but the new model was given a head-to-toe going over for 2012. Although the land rocket of a sportbike retains a familiar look while gaining the R designation, below the surface the biggest of the Ninjas received its most comprehensive revision since its 2006 debut.

The headlining changes on the 2012 ZX-14R are centered on its Inline-Four engine. Displacement is increased through a 4mm stroke addition to give the ’12 ZX-14R an eye-popping total of 1441cc. The combustion chambers are reshaped along with the intake ports to maximize performance. The camshafts feature revised profiles with a reinforced cam chain, allowing the engine to withstand high rpm levels. The pistons have also seen changes to increase their strength while at the same time shedding weight.

This larger engine inhales through the same Mikuni DFI with 44mm throttle bodies, but using a larger and thicker air cleaner element boasting 10 percent more surface area and 40 percent more airflow capability. Spent gases are exhaled through an all-new exhaust featuring tapered header pipes and larger-volume mufflers with dual catalyzers to allow high flow without polluting excessively.

As for aesthetics, the 2012 ZX-14R receives a face lift with more aggressive fairings, and a tail section that features faired-in turn signals and a seat cover. Also, Kawasaki upgraded to gauge cluster, which has an "eco" indicator that lets riders know when maximum fuel economy and mileage are obtained. And there is also a Special Edition model, which features

2012 BMW G 650 GS Sertao Concept

2012 BMW G 650 GS Sertao Concept BMW has launched the new 2012 BMW G650GS Sertão, has single cylinder which suitable for both off-road and everyday use. Named for a dry backlands region of northeastern Brazil, the G650GS Sertão has more sporty look than the standard G 650 GS and it is designed to be more off-road effective and still has technical features and comfort of a regular road bike.

Using the competent and well-liked – but relatively unexciting – G 650 GS as the donor bike, the Sertao looks set to be even more go-getting with wire-spoked wheels, longer travel suspension and more ground clearance.

Whereas the G 650 GS chassis was developed primarily for country roads and light off-road use, the Sertao presents far greater offroad practicality in the form of longer spring travels and tighter tuning. In addition, it is fitted with wire spoke wheels.

Utilizing the standard GS-issue motor, a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 652cc motor with dual-overhead camshafts and fuel injection, the Sertao G650GS makes a claimed 48 horsepower at 6500 rpm; but there's an option for reduced output of 34 horsepower at 6500 rpm.

Several off-road ready accessories are standard on the Sertão including: aluminum engine guard, high windscreen, hand protectors, and extended front wheel mud guard. Dealer options include BMW Motorrad ABS which can be turned off (likely standard in the U.S.), heated grips, Vario saddlebags, topcase, tinted high windscreen, crash bars and the taller seat mentioned previously.

Ryca CS-1 Feature

Ryca CS-1 Feature Casey Stevenson has elevated the Savage from the lowest rung on Suzuki's cruiser ladder to the pinnacle of café-racer cool. After finishing his biological-engineering gig at NASA (where he created a cancer-medication experiment that orbited on the space shuttle), he moved to Los Angeles with two things on his mind: music and motorcycles. And so he created the CS-1 café racer to transport him to musical gigs and the recording studio.

The S40, previously called the Savage, has been around for over 20 years but you can still buy them new. His idea was to transform the Suzuki with his own custom made parts and accessories, creating a kit in the process enabling anyone with basic tools to build their own urban thumper. The CS-1 features a 650cc single with 5 speeds, good looks and up to 60 mpg.

Ryca Motors now sells kits based around the S40, at $3,200 you can pick up everything you need to convert a basic S40 into a beautiful café thumper. Ryca does sell complete bikes based on either new or slightly second hand Suzukis but if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty you should be able to pick up a decent second hand S40 for between $1,000 and $2,000 USD, bringing the total price of the finished bike to just $4,200 to $5,200.

The CS-1 may not have the computer-chip optimized cajones to back up its racer bravado, but it sure does look and feel the part when standing still. Don’t be deceived, though. This is no mere chop job. The Ryca is just a “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance” design exercise in less being more. Witness exhibit A, the super-discreet integrated LED tail light. Immaculately integrated into the compound curves of the aero-hump, the finger sized lamp announces braking, turn signals, and even acts as a running light at night.

New MV Agusta F3

New MV Agusta F3 A new work of art on wheels is arriving that will upset the balance of power. As with all MV Agustas this new model is synonymous with excellence, style and technology. The new F3 will apply these principles to a new market segment, the middle weight supersport category.

This up-spec bike will feature a number of high-end parts including a single-sided swingarm and forged aluminum wheels painted the same color as the frame. The bike also gets a special paint scheme devoid of any graphics. Furthermore the rearview mirrors are painted and the subframe is color-matched as well.

As expected, the F3 sportster a direct rival for the Triumph 675 Daytona and Daytona R, is priced at £9999 and will become available in February next year. MV has also confirmed the bike will produce 130bhp. Triumph’s Daytona 675 R currently costs an identical £9999.

Powerful, hyper-light and more compact than any other motorcycle in existence. The F3 sets the new standard by which all other supersport motorcycles will be judged and compared. A completely new project that was created by CRC, the research center that has continually designed and developed the motorcycles of dreams.

There are no hard numbers on the new bike yet, but MV Agusta has in the past claimed the engine has eclipsed the 135hp (99kW) mark and revs to more than 15,000rpm. Can we expect an ultimate power output of 140hp (103kW)? It's closest rivals, the Triumph Daytona 675, outputs 126hp (93kW).

2012 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 (ABS) Concept

2012 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 (ABS) Concept In 2008 Kawasaki implemented a number of tweaks and updates to the 14 aimed at improving low-end power, but the new model was given a head-to-toe going over for 2012. Although the land rocket of a sportbike retains a familiar look while gaining the R designation, below the surface the biggest of the Ninjas received its most comprehensive revision since its 2006 debut.

The 2011 Ninja 1000 is therefore fitted with a 1043cc inline four-cylinder engine outputting 136hp (101kW) and 110 Nm (81 lb.ft.), as well as with Z1000's aluminium frame, plus the same suspension and brakes.

The Ninja is blessed with rideability an incredible blend of ability on the street and extreme ease of operation. The source of all this two-wheeled goodness is Kawasaki’s own and now legendary Z1000 super standard, the engine and chassis platform upon which the Ninja 1000 is based. The Z1000 has earned some of motorcycling’s highest accolades, including a slot in Cycle World’s Ten Best collection as Best Standard for 2010 and 2011. With guts like that, it’s easy to see where the big Ninja’s impressive chops come from.

The Ninja 1000's lightweight aluminum frame is similar to Kawasaki's famed liter bike, the ZX-10R. The frame cradles the engine from above, and bolts to the motor solidly in three spots, with the final mount rubber-backed for added vibration isolation and torisonal rigidity.

Along with the frame and suspension elements derived from the world of sport bikes, you get light-weight wheels and sport bike instrumentation. The instruments are taken from the ZX-6R, with different fonts and colors. Included is a very legible, traditional analog tachometer next to an LCD screen that includes a speedometer, fuel gauge, clock, dual trip meters and assorted warning lamps. The fuel gauge is easily read at a glance, it is appreciated when combined with the comfort and long-distance touring capabilities of this bike.

2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Spesification

2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Spesification The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is being described as one of the finest super sports bikes in the market today. With the kind of tradition that it has, it’s no secret why Kawasaki has high hopes for their latest offering.

Power from the ZX-6R Inline-Four is notable for its smooth delivery. While peak torque output tied for lowest overall at 43.57 lb-ft, its peak horsepower of 107.22 vaulted to the top of the 600s and just 3.6 shy of the second-placed Triumph. The Kawi engine produces those ponies with the steadiest powerband of the comparison, sporting the flattest torque curve of the bunch. On the open road this makes for an unintimidating throttle delivery and smooth power application.

That DNA begins with a 16-valve, DOHC inline-four engine that’s everything a top-shelf middleweight powerplant should be: supremely powerful, smooth, and blessed with hammer-like reliability. Critics everywhere agree the ZX-6R runs and performs like a larger-displacement motorcycle, and one that packs a rolling chassis that out-handles and out-suspends all others. It’s a perfect combination for street riders, track day junkies and racers alike, a flexibility that helps explain its many 600 comparo victories.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Engine
• Camshafts are made of chrome-moly steel
• Lightweight magnesium engine covers are standard
• Lightweight top injector mounting plate
• Lightweight transmission gears and gear dogs
• Lightweight oil pump and starter gears
• Inlet pressure pulse monitor does away with cam angle sensor, further contributing to lightness
• Cassette-type transmission makes it easy to quickly swap gear ratios, reducing set-up time at the track

2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i Feature

2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i Feature The latest addition to the big-bore sport utility ATV range has just been launched by Kawasaki, showing how the “Beauty and the Beast” Disney tale would look like if it was a four-wheeled monster: the 2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i EPS.

V-twin engine 749 cc 4-stroke fuel injection experience improvements, too, so performance on lap down engine (low rpm) and power increases. Twin cylinder supplied digital fuel injection system (DFI) with 36mm throttle body controlled electronically by a 32-bit CPU. Engine power is transmitted via fully automatic transmission (CVT) with the new gear ratio is high and the belt is thicker and stronger. Weight converter trimmed, too. For matters of pricing 2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i start from USD 9,999.

A new larger radiator is placed high in the chassis for optimum protection against mud and debris, while a new larger radiator fan and larger-diameter cooling hoses and pipes help maximize cooling performance. A self-repairing circuit breaker and dedicated fuse for the new fan also help keep things cool when the going gets tough.

Additionally, the EPS assembly acts as a damping system. According to Kawasaki, even when steering input is neutral, the added inertia of the electric motor acts as a stabilizer. Bump steer and kickback to the handlebar should also be significantly reduced.

2011 SYM Symba 110 Spesification

2011 SYM Symba 110 Spesification Taiwanes scooter maker Sym used to build the Honda Cub under licence for Honda and the heritage of the Symba 100 harks back to that era. Select Scooters markets the Sym brand in Australia and many people would remember them marketed under the name of Bolwell.

The 2011 SYM Symba 110 made from a pressed-steel monocoque chassis with plastic bodywork with the telescopic fork and adjustable dual shocks as the suspension. Other standard features are including the LED-light fuel gauge, small parcel rack, and of course, the passenger seat scooter, the 2011 Symba 110 has total carry capacity just 199 pounds which means that if you want to bring a passenger, make sure it weighs around 40-pounds or less.

The main differences of the WoWow compared to the old Passport consist of a modernized electrical system (12V instead of the old 6V system), an electric start, a 4-speed semi automatic transmission and an increased engine size of 110cc, which now allows the Symba to reach a top speed of over 55mp/h.

The first obstacle you'll have to cross is operating the Symba. It's not like a modern scooter and learning to ride it takes some adjustment from your run-of-the-mill twist 'n' go. To start it, you hold in the brake pedal and lever and thumb the starter, or you can park it on its center stand and kick the folding kickstart lever. Either way, after a minute or two of warm-up, it's ready to ride.

Storage-wise we have the promise of accessories to come, but you can source front baskets and rear panniers if storage is your main priority. Like I said prior, you can also remove the rear seat and attach a topbox easily, no matter what the size. You do get an external helmet lock that allows you to store your helmet safely once parked.

New Concept Toillet Bike Neo

New Concept Toillet Bike Neo You might have that tough guy image of a biker with your Harley, but even the manliest of Hell’s Angels will still writhe in agony and pain should the stomach bug hit him hard. Well, Toto is offering a chopper that has a slightly different agenda – it allows you to bring the toilet with you wherever you go in the form of the Toilet Bike Neo.

In any case, if you're in Japan, you can see it perform: the talking, music playing, poop-powered toilet bike is going on a 600 mile cross-country tour of Japan, starting October 6 from TOTO headquarters in Kitakyushu. The company could have stopped at making it run on poop. As if a toilet-bike wasn't wild enough, the Toto made sure the Bike Neo could write light messages with LED lights, play music and talk.

TOTO’s Toilet Bike Neo will soon begin its national tour around Japan, starting at their Kitakyushu headquarters. From there it will embark on a multi-city tour that includes a stop off at a butt-shaped boulder in Nakatsu. We can’t wait to see how the journey progresses, and we hope the rider maintains a diet rich in fiber to keep the busy schedule on track.
